Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Election of the Khmer Community of NSW Inc. will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, 30th November 2024, at 26 Bonnyrigg Avenue, Bonnyrigg, NSW 2177. The election of the Central Management Committee, which occurs every two years, is scheduled to be held from 1:00PM to 3:00PM in the hall under the temple. This timing is to assist the Independent Returning Officer in counting the votes so the results can be presented at the end of the AGM.
The AGM will commence at 3:15PM with the following agenda:

Nomination of Candidates:
Any member who wishes to be a candidate must submit their nomination form by 22nd November 2024, along with an AFP check (costing approximately $99). The National Police Check Online Application form can be found at AFP National Police Checks. Nominations should be sent to the Independent Returning Officer, c/- 26 Bonnyrigg Avenue, Bonnyrigg 2177, in a sealed envelope. This requirement is outlined in Section 12 of the Constitution of the Khmer Community of NSW Inc., available at Khmer Community Constitution. A copy of the candidate nomination form can be downloaded here below or picked up from the Khmer Community office every Wednesday and Thursday morning from 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
The membership registers close for voting on 23rd November 2024 at 5:00PM. Members can continue to join, but any members who join after that date will not be eligible to vote in this election.
